"Pahunch" is an initiative of the Redemptorist V. Province of Majella. It was born to "Reach Out" to migrant people proclaiming the Word of God to them through pastoral care, counselling services, material and economic support, advocacy of various sorts to enable them to integrate into the mainstream of society in the places where they have to reside. Thus Pahunch seeks to work for the migrant population in the western coast of India Especially in Maharashtra, Goa and Mangalore. Pahunch co-ordinates with the other units (communities) whenever collaboration of work needs from different communities or during inter-diocesan programmes.
Its vision is: Empowerment of Chotanagpur Migrant Adivasi Through a holistic development approach. Its objectives are education, livelihood and community development.
Over the years Pahunch has witnessed progress in terms of Networking, Resource Sharing, community organisation, the scope of the work, increased sociability, visibility of its work both in physical and online platforms.
